Albanian Yellow Limestone Flagstone Natural Split Surface

Products/Project Information

Gjirokastra Yellow Limestone is a premium natural stone quarried in southern Albania, known for its warm golden-beige tone and Mediterranean character.
Each flagstone is carefully selected and hand-split to preserve its natural texture and irregular shape, making it ideal for creating elegant, rustic surfaces that integrate beautifully with both modern and traditional architecture.

This limestone has been used for centuries in the historical region of Gjirokastra – a UNESCO World Heritage site celebrated for its distinctive stonework. Today, the same stone is refined using modern production methods, offering outstanding durability, slip resistance, and timeless aesthetics for contemporary design projects.
The stone’s yellow-beige color varies slightly from piece to piece, reflecting the organic mineral composition of Albanian limestone.
Under sunlight, it produces soft golden reflections, while its natural split surface enhances grip and creates a dynamic, natural appearance.
Because the material is 100 % natural, no two flagstones are identical, resulting in a unique pattern on every installation.
