Stone Information

Negro Marquina is a compact and fine grained black rock that varies from pitch black to black with plenty of white veins. This marble is a recrystallized reef chalk with some calcite veins, on which some fossil remains can be seen.

The classification (and also its capacity of being supplied and its price) depends on the homogeneity of the tone of colour, the amount of veins and the presence of mineral intrussions.

Available slab size(s)

Negro Marquina is produced in slabs 2 & 3 cm. (Big thicknesses are difficult to produce) for transformacion in stairs, cut to size pieces, bathroom sinks.

Slabs are provided for trade & distribution, for being re-cut into final shape in the place of destination. It is a product available for marble companies & wholesale. Dimensions depends on the block from where is cut, on average 280x170, and with thickness 2 or 3 cm.

Available tile size(s)

Negro Marquina is produced in standard size tiles 60x60x2 cm, 60x40x2 cm, 60x30x2 cm. In other thicknesses you can find tiles 30,5x30,5x1 cm, 61x30,5x1 cm polished and beveled.

Available surface finishes

Negro Marquina is produced in polished, honed, antiqued principally. Sandblasted or split are less used.

Stock Information

There is stock of Negro Marquina slabs in 2 & 3 cm. For tiles usually has to be ordered.

Packing Details

Slabs are packed into export wooden bundles. For truck transport A-frames and chains.
Tiles are packed into export wooden crates.

The area of loading is Novelda (Alicante) Spain.
For truck it is loaded in A-frames, embraced with chains.
For container in wooden bundles.
Port of loading: VALENCIA.
